北朝鮮で揺れを観測「核実験の可能性」 菅官房長官が表明

1月6日午前10時半ごろ、北朝鮮北東部でマグニチュードに換算で5.1と推定される揺れが観測された。気象庁は現在、地震の波形とは異なる可能性があるとみて詳しく分析している。NHKニュースなどが報じた。

今回の揺れが観測された北朝鮮北東部の北緯41度6分、東経129度2分付近には北朝鮮の核実験場があるという。菅官房長官は6日午前の記者会見で「気象庁が北朝鮮で地震を観測した。政府としては、過去の事例を踏まえ核実験の可能性もあるとみて情報収集している」と述べた。

韓国の聯合ニュースによると、韓国軍の「防護司令部」は3日、北朝鮮北東部豊渓里にある核実験場で新たな坑道掘削の動きが確認されていることについて「（爆発の威力を増すための）核融合反応を利用した兵器の実験目的である可能性を排除できない」と指摘していた。
