旧正月の「春節」を控えた中国南部の広州で2月2日、帰省客5万人以上が、列車遅延のために駅で足止めされる事態となった。大雪でダイヤが乱れたことが原因。BBCなどが、駅からあふれた人々の様子を報じた。

中国で旧正月の「春節」に合わせた7連休が、2月7日からスタートする。中国では春節期間中に、多くの人々が公共交通機関で移動するが、共同通信が中国交通運輸相の話として伝えたところによると、3月3日までの間、延べ29億人が大移動する見通しで、帰省する出稼ぎ労働者が多い広州駅からは連日、約17万人が出発している。
