エクアドル大地震、少なくとも246人死亡　陸橋が崩れ落ちる【UPDATE】

南アメリカのエクアドルで4月16日夜（日本時間17日午前）、大地震が発生した。ロイターによると、地震の規模を示すマグニチュードは7.8。一連の熊本地震で最大規模の「本震」がマグニチュード7.3だったので、それよりも大きい計算だ。震源はエクアドルの首都キトから数百キロ離れた沿岸部。家屋と陸橋が崩れ、少なくとも28人が死亡した。

ロイターによるとエクアドルの地震による死者は少なくとも246人、負傷者は2557人に上るという。NHKニュースによると、震源に近いグアヤキルの中心部でも立体交差の陸橋が崩れ落ち、車が押しつぶされて乗っていた人が死亡した。また、3階建ての建物が倒壊している様子も見られました。エクアドル政府は兵士や消防隊員など1万人以上を順次、被災地に派遣することにしていて崩れた建物の下敷きになった人たちの救助を急いでいる。

NHKニュースによると気象庁は、周辺の海域にある検潮所の観測データを監視し、津波の影響を調べていたが、日本への津波の影響はないと発表した。
