アメリカ・ハワイ島で、キラウエア火山から流れ出た溶岩流が麓の村に到達し、のみ込まれた民家1棟が11月10日、焼失した。ハワイ州当局の話として、NHKニュースなどが報じた。
アメリカ・ハワイ州のハワイ島にあるキラウエア火山では、ことし6月に火口から噴出した溶岩流が35キロ離れたふもとの村に迫り、これまでに周辺の木々が燃えたり、日系人の墓地が溶岩流にのみ込まれたりする被害が出ています。

地元のメディアによりますと、住宅は燃え上がって45分ほどで焼け落ちましたが、この住宅は3か月ほど前から空き家になっていて、けが人は出ていません。
