北朝鮮と韓国の高官会談が25日、緊張緩和に向け合意に達した。北朝鮮が、韓国兵らが地雷事故で負傷した件をめぐって遺憾の意を表明、韓国は政治宣伝放送の中止に同意した。

北朝鮮と韓国の高官会談が２５日未明、緊張緩和に向け合意に達した。

双方が共同声明で明らかにした。北朝鮮が、韓国兵らが地雷事故で負傷した件をめぐって遺憾の意を表明、韓国は政治宣伝放送の中止に同意した。

北朝鮮は「準戦時状態」を解除することにも合意した。双方は関係改善に関わる広範な問題を協議する場を設けるという。

韓国の金寛鎮（キム・グァンジン）国家安保室長は、テレビ放映された記者会見で「今回の会談で北朝鮮が地雷による挑発行為をわび、再発防止や緊張緩和に取り組むと約束したことは非常に意義深い」と述べた。

ただ、北朝鮮はこれまで地雷敷設を否定、今回の声明でも明確な形で責任を取らなかった。

今回の合意を米国や国連は歓迎した。米国務省のカービー報道官は記者会見で「北側の姿勢を行動で判断する。合意を歓迎しており、朝鮮半島の緊張緩和につながることを望む」と表明。「非常に緊迫した数日間だった」とも振り返った。［ソウル ２５日 ロイター］
