オバマ大統領、3月にもキューバ訪問　実現ならアメリカ大統領として88年ぶり

アメリカのオバマ大統領が、3月にもキューバ訪問を計画していると、ロイター通信が2月17日（現地時間）報じた。

アメリカのオバマ大統領が、3月にもキューバ訪問を計画していると、ロイター通信が2月17日（現地時間）報じた。ABCは3月21～22日と伝えている。

ロイター通信によると、アメリカ政府高官は時期については明言しなかったが「条件さえ整えば、大統領は行くつもりだと表明してきた」と述べた。ホワイトハウスは公式なコメントを出していない。

1959年のキューバ革命でキューバが社会主義国化し、アメリカ企業の資産を接収したことから、両国は1961年に国交を断絶していた。アメリカとキューバは2015年7月、54年ぶりに国交を回復したが、アメリカの対キューバ経済制裁は、旅行の渡航制限など一部が残っている。

実現すれば、アメリカ大統領のキューバ訪問は、1928年にカルビン・クーリッジ大統領（第30代）が訪問して以来、実に88年ぶりとなる。
