全国16地域で、朴槿恵大統領の退陣を求める4週目の「ろうそく集会」が開かれた。

11月19日、韓国・ソウル中心部の光化門や大邱、光州、大田、釜山など全国16地域で、朴槿恵大統領の退陣を求める「ろうそく集会」が開かれた。4回目のろうそく集会となる。

過去3回の集会では警察が青瓦台(大統領府)へ向かう道路にバリケードを築き、集会参加者が青瓦台に近づくのをブロックしている。警察が今回、集会・デモや行進の場所を制限したことに集会主催者側が抗議し、裁判所は19日、さらに広範囲な場所でのデモ行進を許可した。

午後8時現在、ソウル・光化門では、主催者側の推計で約50万人(警察発表で約18万人)が参加した。主催者側は最終的にソウルで50万人、全国では100万人の参加を予測している。
