清原和博氏、現役時代の興奮剤使用告白　「集中力がアップ」

覚醒剤取締法違反の罪で有罪判決が確定した元プロ野球選手の清原和博氏（49）が、現役時代に「グリーニー」と呼ばれる興奮剤を使用していたことを告白した。

清原氏、現役時代の興奮剤使用告白 「集中力がアップ」

覚醒剤取締法違反の罪で有罪判決が確定した元プロ野球選手の清原和博氏（４９）が、２９日に放映されたＴＢＳ系「ニュースキャスター」で、現役時代に「グリーニー」と呼ばれる興奮剤を使用していたことを告白した。現役中の覚醒剤使用は否定した。

清原氏は「本当の名前は分からないのですが、最初は外国人選手に『興奮剤だよ』と勧められ、もらったりして使っていました。集中力がアップしました」などと語った。

グリーニーは、緑色のカプセルに入っていたのが名前の由来とされる。大リーグでは２００６年から禁止薬物に指定された。日本のプロ野球では０７年から本格的にドーピング検査を導入している。

０８年限りで引退した清原氏は、覚醒剤取締法違反の罪で懲役２年６カ月執行猶予４年の有罪判決が６月に確定している。
