Saba Hamedy is a Boston University senior double majoring in Political Science and Journalism. As a Los Angeles native, she enjoys sunshine, farmer’s markets and driving around in her red VW bug. She is fluent in Farsi and conversational Spanish. An avid traveler, Saba has completed two abroad programs – the spring 2012 semester in London, where she interned at World Travel Guide, and University of Virginia’s one month Semester at Sea voyage in May 2011, where she travelled to six different countries in Central America and immersed herself in the Spanish language and learned about the political cultures of each country. At Boston University, she was editor-in-chief of “The Daily Free Press”. in Fall 2011 and spent more time in the office than in her actual dorm room. She also writes for sites such as The Next Great Generation and Patch.com.
