ハーウッドさんは92歳で初めてスカイダイビングを体験した。そして2015年3月13日、100歳の誕生日のお祝いで、3度目のスカイダイビングを楽しんだ。
タンデムジャンプが終わった後、この南アフリカ出身の女性はAP通信に対し、「素晴らしくて爽快な体験だった」と語った。
CBSによると、ハーウッドさん一族や友人15人が一緒にスカイダイビングを楽しんだという。
お祝いは16日も続いた。今度はサメと一緒にスキューバダイビングを楽しんだのだ。
