アメリカ大統領夫人のミシェル・オバマさん（First Lady of the United Statesの頭文字をとって「Flotus」と呼ばれる）は、2月11日の晩餐会に、素晴らしいパウダーブルーと黒いレースのドレスで現れ、人々を魅了した。

アメリカ大統領夫人のミシェル・オバマさん（First Lady of the United Statesの頭文字をとって「Flotus」と呼ばれる）は、2月11日の晩餐会に、素晴らしいパウダーブルーと黒いレースのドレスで現れ、人々を魅了した。

晩餐会は、フランスのオランド大統領を招いてホワイトハウスで行われたもの。オランド氏を迎えに大統領夫妻が玄関ホールに現れたとき、複雑なビーズと鮮やかな青いシルクの組み合わせに、われわれは強い印象を受けた。

ドレスは、キャロリーナ・ヘレラ（Carolina Herrera）によるもの。オバマ夫人が、このベネズエラ出身のデザイナーの服を着るのは初めてのことではない。ヘレラはエレガントなドレスで定評があり、晩餐会のような機会にはうってつけなのだ（世界に展開しており、2013年4月には銀座店もオープンした）。
