どんな言語であろうと、ビールで満たされたグラスをカチンと軽く合わせる瞬間は、世界中の人を幸せにする。しかしどんなビールを好むかは、国によってさまざまだ。
お酒をテーマにしたウェブサイト「Vinepair」は、企業収益と調査報告を元に、世界各国で最も人気のあるビールを紹介する地図を作成した。
アメリカ人はバドワイザー・ライトを好み、日本人はアサヒ・スーパードライをたくさん飲み、そしてイスラエル人のお気に入りはゴールドスターのようだ。
100カ国以上が掲載されているが、パプアニューギニアやアンゴラ、モンゴルなど、データが得られなかった国は除外されており、地図上ではピンク色に塗られている。
なお、日本のビールメーカー「キリン」が発表している「世界各国の1人あたりビール消費量」ランキングによると、消費量の1位はチェコで、日本人平均の3.4倍を消費しているという。
