イギリスの豪華客船「クイーン・エリザベス」（9万900トン）が3月18日、神戸港（神戸市中央区）に入港した。岸壁には多くの市民が訪れ、「海の女王」を歓迎した。産経ニュースなどが報じた。
同船は2015年1月、イギリスのサウサンプトンを出港し、アメリカやアジアなどの都市に寄港しながら、約4カ月かけて世界一周している。神戸への寄港予定はなかったが、航行中に南太平洋で大型サイクロンが発生し、航路変更による遅れを解消するため、寄港地を横浜と長崎から、神戸に変更したという。
世界で最も有名な豪華客船「クリーン・エリザベス」の名前を受け継ぐ、3代目の同船。新時代の客船として、吹き抜けのロビーやドーム型のラウンジ、2階建ての図書室、バーなど、最新の設備が備えられている。
