アメリカでは、そろそろ新学期が始まるシーズン。大学の寮に入る新入生も少なくない。

大学寮の部屋と言えば、一昔前なら「プラスチックのケースに荷物を詰め込んで、味気ないベッドの下に突っ込む」というイメージを持たれがちだったけれど、最近は様子が違うらしい。

学生たちは知恵とセンスを駆使して、狭い部屋を居心地良く作りかえている。

SNSに投稿されているのは、ふかふかのクッションや美しいベッドカバー、きらきらのストリングライトで装飾された部屋の写真。中にはシャンデリアをつける学生も。

狭いスペースをお洒落な空間にするのは、学生たちにとっては楽しいプロジェクトなのかもしれない。

まるでそれ自体がアート作品のよう寮の部屋、ちょっと羨ましい。
