アメリカの連邦最高裁が6月26日に同性婚の権利を認める判決を出したことを受け、芸能界をはじめとした著名人から歓迎を表すTwitter投稿が相次いだ。歌手マドンナは「ようやく『愛の革命』が始まった!」と書き込み、歌手ケイティ・ペリーは「アメリカ人であることを誇りに思う。愛はレッテルと不寛容を乗り越えられる」と記した。

このほか、俳優レオナルド・ディカプリオやオバマ大統らもメッセージを投稿した。
