東京ディズニーランドと東京ディズニーシーに7月1日から、花王が提供する新スポット「ハンドウォッシングエリア」（手洗い場）が登場した。ボタンを押すとミッキーマウスの形をした「ビオレu」の泡が出るハンドソープが設置されている。
ORICON STYLEによると、ハンドウォッシングエリアは東京ディズニーランドの「クリッターカントリー」と、東京ディズニーシーの「アメリカンウォーターフロント」、そして両パークの一部のレストルームに設置。クリッターカントリーのハンドウォッシングエリアには、大小異なる2つのサイズの手洗い場を用意。親子で楽しく手洗いの楽しさを知ることができるスポットとなっている。
花王はハンドウォッシングエリアのコンセプトについて、「ふとした体験をきっかけに、子どもたちが『きれい』の大切さに気づく、小さな魔法」としており、オープニングセレモニーに駆けつけた澤田道隆社長は、「子どもたちがパークのなかで笑顔の清潔体験をすることで、家に帰って手洗いの習慣を身に付けていただき、衛生意識を向上させるだけでなく、パークと日常をつなぐ思い出づくりにもなっていただけたら」と話した。
