[ロンドン 10日 ロイター] - 米マイクロソフト

国連機関および国際機関に寄付し、流行地域での対策に向けた物資購入に役立ててもらう。官民と協力して薬やワクチン、診断器具の開発加速、治療および拡散防止に尽力するとしている。

グリーニング英国際開発相は寄付に歓迎を表明し「(エボラ熱流行による)健康、社会、経済的リスクに対応するには、国際社会全体が一段の努力を払う必要がある」と述べた。

ゲイツ基金はすでに1000万ドル以上をエボラ対策のため複数の機関に寄付しているほか、米疾病対策センター(CDC)に対し、対策強化資金として200万ドルを直ちに寄付することも表明している。
