中国の国営メディアは19日、東南アジアからのメタンフェタミンなど合成麻薬の密輸が増えたことを受け、中国で暴力犯罪が今年に入り急増していると伝えた。

中国の国営メディアは19日、東南アジアからのメタンフェタミンなど合成麻薬の密輸が増えたことを受け、中国で暴力犯罪が今年に入り急増していると伝えた。

チャイナ・デーリーによると、中国公安部禁毒局の劉躍進局長は、1─9月にメタンフェタミン使用による暴力犯罪が100件を超えたと明らかにした。これは過去5年間の累計件数を上回るという。

局長は中国の薬物使用者が1400万人に上る可能性があると指摘。このうち約半数はメタンフェタミンを使用していると述べた。

公安部は19日にウェブサイトで、過去50日の間に薬物関連で2万4000人近くを拘束し、薬物12.1トンを押収したと発表した。

チャイナ・デーリーは、中国南部の雲南省と広西チワン族自治区にメタンフェタミンが密輸されていると報道。雲南省の警察は昨年、ミャンマーから運ばれたメタンフェタミン9トン以上を押収したという。
