スパイ映画「007」シリーズの悪役「ジョーズ」などで知られるアメリカの俳優、リチャード・キールさんが9月10日、カリフォルニア州フレズノの病院で死去した。

人気スパイ映画「007」シリーズの悪役「ジョーズ」などで知られるアメリカの俳優、リチャード・キールさんが9月10日、カリフォルニア州フレズノの病院で死去した。74歳だった。ロイター通信などが報じた。

キールさんは「007 私を愛したスパイ」(1977年)や「007 ムーンレイカー」(1979年)で鋼鉄の歯を持つ悪役ジョーズを演じた。身長約2.2メートルと大柄で、同シリーズで最も記憶に残る悪役の一人となった。

代理人によると、キールさんは数年前にトラック事故により歩行が困難になり、俳優活動から遠ざかっていた。

また、「キャノンボール2」(1984年)ではジャッキー・チェンの相棒役を演じた。ディズニー映画「塔の上のラプンツェル」(2010年)では、声優を務めた

病院の広報担当は、患者情報の守秘義務を理由として死因は明らかにしなかったという。

キールさんは、007シリーズでは主役ジェームズ・ボンドを演じたロジャー・ムーアさんと共演した。
