元民進党政調会長で無所属前職の山尾志桜里氏(43)が、愛知7区で当選確実となった。朝日新聞デジタルなどが報じた。

山尾氏は「週刊文春」に不倫疑惑を報道され、9月に民進を離党していた

自民前職の鈴木淳司氏(59)と激戦を繰り広げた。序盤は無党派層の取り込みに苦労したが、住宅街での街宣活動に重点を置くなどして終盤に追い上げた。山尾氏は無所属のため比例代表との重複立候補ができず、選挙区で敗れればバッジを失うところだった

疑惑については一貫して否定。街頭演説では、子育て政策や女性の活躍推進に取り組んできた実績を強調していた

山尾氏は検事を経て、2009年に初当選し2期目だった。
