エルサレムで２日、誘拐されたパレスチナ人少年（１６）が遺体で発見された。先月３０日にイスラエル人の少年３人が他殺体で発見された事件への報復とみられ、双方の対立が一層激しくなるものと懸念されている。
被害者の少年は、遺体で発見されたのと同じ日に、何者かによって車両に押し込められるところを目撃されたのを最後に、行方が分からなくなっていた。警察によると、遺体はエルサレム郊外の森で発見された。遺体発見の知らせが伝わると、市内では投石するパレスチナ人とイスラエルの警察当局の間で衝突が発生した。
パレスチナ自治政府のアッバス議長は、イスラエル人入植者による犯行だと非難し、イスラエルに対して犯人を厳罰に処するよう求めた。イスラエルのネタニヤフ首相は早急に捜査し、事件の背後関係を明らかにするよう捜査当局に指示した。
イスラエルの当局筋によると、警察はイスラエル人少年３人が誘拐され、約３週間後に遺体となって発見された事件に対する報復の可能性があるとみて調べている。イスラエル政府は、３少年殺害にはイスラム原理主義組織ハマスが関与していると主張している。 ［エルサレム ２日 ロイター］
