コナミ株式会社は日本版カジノ法案の国会成立に合わせ、日本でのカジノ施設への投資を目的とした子会社を設立することを5月28日の取締役会で決議したと発表した。

TVゲーム大手のコナミは日本版カジノ法案の国会成立に合わせ、日本でのカジノ施設への投資を目的とした子会社を設立することを5月28日の取締役会で決議したと発表した

会社名は「コナミゲーミングジャパン」。カジノ事業向けとしてはオーストラリア、アメリカに続き3カ国目の子会社となる。コナミは1996年からカジノ事業をスタートさせ、北米やオーストラリアなどカジノが合法化されている国や地域でカジノライセンスを取得して事業展開している。

カジノ法案は自民、日本維新の会、生活の党などの議員が国会に提出。月内の審議入りを目指しているが、今のところ成立の見通しが立っていない。

カジノ解禁をめぐっては、自民、日本維新の会、生活の3党が昨年12月、IR整備を政府に促す推進法案を衆院に提出したが、治安悪化の懸念から公明、民主両党が慎重姿勢のままで今国会でも成立の見通しが立っていない。
