韓国競泳界の大スター、朴泰桓（25）が所属するマネジメント会社は1月26日、同選手がドーピング検査で禁止薬物に陽性反応を示したと発表した。朴泰桓は2008年北京オリンピック競泳男子400メートル自由形金メダリスト。聯合ニュース報道として、47NEWSなどが伝えた。
朴泰桓の所属チーム関係者の話としており、薬物の種類や陽性反応が出た時期は不明。昨年秋の仁川アジア大会の前に韓国内の病院で受けた注射が原因だとし、この病院を捜査するようソウル中央地検に依頼したという。朴泰桓の父は同ニュースに「捜査が進行中だ」と話した。
朴泰桓は五輪で韓国競泳初の金メダルを獲得したスポーツ界の大スターで、大きな波紋が広がりそうだ。
