エリザベス女王の誕生日は4月21日だが、天気の良くなる6月に祝賀行事が行われるのが慣例。1985年の祝賀行事でも、バッキンガム宮殿には皇室が勢ぞろい。エリザベス女王は、チャールズ皇太子やダイアナ妃、ウィリアム王子、ハリー王子などが立ち、儀礼飛行を観覧した。
