イオンが、10月7日発売の「週刊文春」を売り場から撤去するよう指示していたことがわかった。

イオンが販売した弁当などに中国産の米などが混入していたことが明らかになったことをうけて、農林水産省が4日、米を卸していた三瀧商事に対して改善指示や勧告を出していた

イオンが西日本を中心に販売した弁当に、国産米と偽った中国産米が混入されていた問題で、同社は9日、この日発売の「週刊文春」(10月17日号)を、全国の自社の売り場から撤去したと発表した。

今週発売の「週刊文春」では「『中国猛毒米』偽装、イオンの大罪を暴く」と題した記事を掲載。中国産の米を国産と偽って発売していた三瀧商事の実態や実際の検査のほか、やイオンの広報担当者の回答やイオンの仕入れ状況などが特集されている。

イオンは「週刊文春」の記事に対して、HP上で見解を発表している。

お客さまの食の安全・安心に対する不安をいたずらに助長するような報道、並びに当社に関する誤った報道は断じて容認できないものであり、発行元である株式会社文藝春秋に対して、当該雑誌の販売即時中止と回収、並びに謝罪を求めるとともに、断固たる措置をとってまいります。

なお、農林水産省が行った検査では、安全性に問題がある米穀が食用に流通、販売した事実は確認されていないという。
