トラックの荷台に多数の遺体　オーストリア、難民・移民か

ハンガリーの国境に近いオーストリアの東部ブルゲンランドにある高速道路の待避所で8月27日、大型トラックの荷台に20〜50人の難民・移民とみられる遺体が放置されているのが発見された。

ハンガリーの国境に近いオーストリアの東部ブルゲンランドにある高速道路の待避所で8月27日、大型トラックの荷台に20〜50人の難民・移民とみられる遺体が放置されているのが発見された。BBCなどが報じた。

オーストリアの地元警察のハンス・ピーター・ドスコジル氏によると、トラックの中にいた移民は、オーストリアに入国した時点で既に死亡していたとみられる。トラックはレッカー車で移動され、遺体の検視を行うという。

ロイターによると、遺体は腐敗が進み、腐敗液がトラックの後部ドアから漏れ出していたという。ドスコジル氏は会見で「死後1日半から2日が経過している」と述べた。

ドイツのアンジェラ・メルケル首相はウィーンで行われている東バルカンサミットの会合で「言うまでもなく、私たちはみなこの恐ろしいニュースを耳にして震え上がっています。私たちは早急に移民問題に取り組まなければなりません。そして、ヨーロッパの精神ーーこれは連帯の精神という意味ですーーをもって解決策を見つけなければいけません」と述べた。
