ソチオリンピックは2月20日（現地時間）、新種目のスキーフリースタイル女子ハーフパイプが行われ、小野塚彩那選手が83.20点で銅メダルを獲得した。
新種目のスキー・フリースタイルのハーフパイプは、半円筒形のコースを滑りながら、ジャンプや回転などの技の難度を得点で競うもので、2回滑って良い方の得点が採用される。
予選を4位で通過した小野塚選手は、11人で行われる決勝に出場。1回目に、高さがあるジャンプを決めて79.00点を出し、3位につけると、2回目では、ジャンプのほか完成度の高い回転技を着実に決め、83.20をマーク。銅メダルを獲得した。
三星マナミは15.60点となり、予選敗退した。
