アメリカ人歌手の故ホイットニー・ヒューストンさんとボビー・ブラウンさんの娘、ボビー・クリスティーナ・ブラウンさん（22）が26日、ジョージア州の病院で死去した。

アメリカ人歌手の故ホイットニー・ヒューストンさんとボビー・ブラウンさんの娘、ボビー・クリスティーナ・ブラウンさん（22）が7月26日、ジョージア州の病院で死去した。地元メディアの報道として、ハフポストUS版などが報じた。

ブラウンさんは今年１月末、自宅の浴槽の中で意識を失った状態で発見された。ホスピスで治療を受けていたが容体は改善しなかった。ブラウンさんの後見人は６月、ブラウンさんの夫とされる人物に対して民事訴訟を起こしている。

夫とされたのはニック・ゴードン氏だが、実際には婚姻関係はなかったとみられる。訴訟では、ゴードン氏がブラウンさんを精神的、肉体的に虐待したり、ブラウンさんが意識不明になった後に彼女の預金口座から金を引き出したりした疑いがあると訴えられている。

ブラウンさんは、4月には一度昏睡状態から目覚めたと、関係者が明かしていた。しかし容態は悪化し、6月には病気の末期患者に対する緩和治療や終末期医療を提供するホスピスに転院していた。

遺族は、代理人を通して「みなさま方の多大なる支援と愛に、感謝致します。彼女はとうとう安らかに神の下へ向かいました」との声明文を出した。

母のホイットニーさんは2012年2月、ビバリーヒルズのホテルの浴槽で死亡しているのが見つかった。死因はコカインの使用と心臓疾患による不慮の溺死と断定されている。
