トルコ・イスタンブールの地下鉄で12月1日夜(現地時間)に起きた爆発は、手製のパイプでできた爆弾によるものだった。数人が負傷した。区長の一人が語った。

バイランパサ駅の監視カメラには、ラッシュアワーの混雑の中、火花が散る場面が写っている。この駅は大きなショッピングモールや、IKEAのような人気店に近い。

バイランパサ区のAtilla Aydiner区長によると、少なくとも5人が負傷した。

トルコ高官はまだ原因について言及していない。

「何かの始まりのようだった」と、現場に居合わせた25歳の女子学生は話した。さらに爆発が起きるような気がしたという。

トルコはここ数カ月、多数の死傷者を出す爆弾テロが相次いでいた。

10月には、クルド系政党や労働組合の反戦デモで自爆テロがあり、100人以上が死亡した。トルコ政府は、過激派組織「イスラム国」(IS)の仕業と非難していた。トルコはアメリカ主導の「有志連合」に参加している。

6月には、南部ディヤバキルで、クルド民主党の運動中に2発の爆弾が爆発し、数人が死亡した。翌月には、シリア国境に近いカルチャーセンターで「イスラム国」の自爆テロとみられる爆発で30人以上が死亡した。犠牲者の多くは若いクルド人だった。

政治活動を禁止されているクルド労働者党(PKK)とトルコ軍との戦闘も夏以降、激化している。トルコはPKKの拠点の爆撃も行っている。PKKは、アメリカ政府がテロ組織と認定しており、「偉大なるクルドの自由」を掲げて首都アンカラで30年以上にわたって戦闘を繰り広げている。

イスタンブールで受付係として働く男性、エナール・エルボガさん(30)は、爆発の原因は見当がつかないとしながら「恐怖心を植え付けようというメッセージは明確だ」と話す。

「本当の目的は、テロを怖がる雰囲気を作りだし、人々を怖がらせて外出させないことだ。しかし、僕は恐れない。もう慣れているから。爆発がもっと身近になったら、僕らは声を上げるんじゃないかな」

爆発から1時間後、最近トルコに入国したばかりの20代のシリア難民が、駅近くを歩いていた。「シリアはもう破綻しているから、何が起きても驚かない」と話した。
