「女性は感情的だからリーダーには向かない」という意見に、ヒューレット・パッカード社の元CEOで共和党の大統領候補の一人、カーリー・フィオリーナ氏が反論した。

8月17日にアイオワ州のステートフェアに参加したフィオリーナ氏は、群衆に向かって「これまで、男性がホルモンのせいで正しい判断ができなかったという例を何か思いつきますか？」と尋ねた。
