中国政府は6月24日、北京の天安門前で2013年10月に起きた車両突入事件で、犯行車両が観光客らを次々とはねる衝撃的なシーンを含む「テロ映像」を公開した。
これは、「テロリズムのインターネット扇動者―東トルキスタン・イスラム運動のテロ画像」をテーマにしたドキュメンタリーで、国営テレビが放送した。相次ぐ事件を受けて、ウイグル族への取り締まりを正当化する狙いがあるとみられる。中国の新華ニュースなどが報じた。
今回発表したドキュメンタリーは全長２４分間で、２０１４年３月１日に発生した昆明駅無差別殺傷事件、２０１４年４月３０日、５月２２日に発生したウルムチ爆発事件、２０１３年１０月２８日に発生した北京天安門広場自動車突入事件など摘発した多くの暴力テロ事件をめぐって、国内外のテロ撲滅専門家、学者、社会各界の民衆をインタビューを行った。テロに関する動画の危害及び暴力テロとの繋がりを指摘し、インターネット上でテロに関する動画を散布し、国内のテロを扇動した東トルキスタン・イスラム運動の罪悪行為を公にした。
