白人警官による暴行事件が問題視されているアメリカで、ちょっと心が温まる動画が投稿された。アメリカの首都ワシントンDCの路上で、10代の少女たちがケンカを始めようとしていたが、婦人警官が駆けつけて「家に帰りなさい」と注意。少女の一人が「それならダンスで勝負よ！あんたが勝ったら家に帰るけど、負けたらあんたが立ち去りなよ」と挑発したところ、警官がノリノリで応じたという。
ABCニュースによると、それまでの路上での騒ぎから一転。ダンス対決する2人を見ようと、人々が集まって来た。2分近く続いたダンス対決が終わると、少女たちは全員、家に帰ったという。ダンス対決をした少女は、「結果は引き分けだと思うけど、警官のダンスは文句なしだったわ」とコメントしているという。10月28日にFacebookに動画を投稿されたが、11月2日時点で140万回を超えて再生されている。
オバマ大統領も自身のTwitterで「地域の警官がストリートダンスをする誰が想像できただろう？警官が私たちの安全を守る中でも、楽しむことを忘れないという素晴らしい証拠だ」と絶賛した。
