進行中のプロジェクトは、国内最大の建設ベンチャー事業で、8.24億ドルの費用投入が見込まれている。これが完成すれば、ニューヨーク市は、6マイルもの真新しい地下鉄を所有することになると共に、グランド・セントラル・ターミナルにロングアイランド鉄道が初めて乗り入れることになる。
