軍によるクーデターが発生したエジプトでは、4日に暫定大統領が就任宣誓を行ったが、一方でモルシ前大統領の出身母体であるイスラム組織ムスリム同胞団の指導者が拘束されるなど、混乱が続いている。最高憲法裁判所のマンスール長官が暫定大統領として就任宣誓を行った。

軍によるクーデターが発生したエジプトでは、4日に暫定大統領が就任宣誓を行ったが、一方でモルシ前大統領の出身母体であるイスラム組織ムスリム同胞団の指導者が拘束されるなど、混乱が続いている。

エジプトでは、軍が定めた今後の政治プロセスに関する「行程表」に基づき、最高憲法裁判所のマンスール長官が暫定大統領として就任宣誓を行った。時事通信によると、マンスール長官は宣誓で、6月30日に100万人規模に膨れ上がった反モルシ政権デモについて「人々全体の要求を反映したものだった」と評価。「参加した全ての政治勢力、老若男女に敬意を表する」と述べた。

産経新聞によると、マンスール氏はカイロ大卒で、フランス国立行政学院(ENA)にも留学。ムバラク政権時代から長年にわたって裁判官のキャリアを積み、1992年には同裁判所副長官に就任した。2011年のムバラク政権崩壊後には大統領選に関する法律制定に尽力したものの、モルシー政権やムスリム同胞団とは憲法改正などをめぐって緊張関係にあった。一般にはほぼ無名の存在で、1日に同裁判所長官への就任を承認されたばかりだった。

一方でエジプト治安当局は4日、イスラム組織ムスリム同胞団の最高指導者バディア氏の身柄を拘束。また、モルシ大統領が拘束される瞬間の動画がYouTubeにアップされた(撮影時期は不明)。さらに、モルシ大統領に対する訴追に向けた準備が進められているとみられる。

これに対してムスリム同胞団などは、軍のクーデターに対する抗議デモを5日に実施するよう支持者に呼び掛け、「平和的な抗議行動」を行うよう訴えている

中東の衛星テレビ局アルジャジーラのスタッフが大量に拘束される事態も起きている。NHKによると、エジプト軍がモルシ大統領の解任を発表したあとの3日から4日未明にかけて、エジプトの国内向けに放送を出しているカイロ市内の支局に軍の治安部隊が踏み込み、スタッフ28人を拘束した。その後、支局長を含む2人以外は釈放された。アルジャジーラのエジプト向けの放送にムスリム同胞団の幹部が頻繁に出演していたことから、アルジャジーラに対して当局が圧力を加えたのではないかと見られている。

ロイターによると、マンスール長官は、挙国一致内閣の樹立にムスリム同胞団も参加するよう呼びかけているが、同胞団の幹部は「権限を強奪した者」には協力しないとの姿勢を崩していない。

今後の見通しが不透明なエジプト。エジプト当局とムスリム同胞団の対立は激化する一方だ。
