B-29爆撃機「エノラ・ゲイ」の飛行記録など、第二次大戦の資料がオークションに

ニューヨークの競売会社ボナムスで5日午後2時(日本時間6日午前3時)から第二次世界大戦の資料などが競売にかけられる。広島に原爆を投下した米軍の爆撃機エノラゲイの投下当日の飛行記録など歴史的にも貴重な資料で、高値での落札が予想されている。

飛行記録は1945年8月6日午後零時15分に飛び立ったところからB29爆撃機「エノラ・ゲイ」のポール・ティベッツ元機長が記させた現物。75万ドルから10万ドル(1000万円前後)での落札が予想されている。ティベッツ元機長は、普段から飛行記録を個人的に細かく残させていたという。

また、原爆投下翌日の長崎を記録した写真24枚や46年5月にアイゼンハワー大統領が日本を訪問した際の写真をはじめ富士山や大阪、長崎の写真など250枚も出品される。

競売を開くボナムスの国際ディレクター、トム・ラム氏は、「今回の被爆地に関する資料は、非常に珍しい。陸軍の写真家、山端庸介氏が撮影した長崎の写真が日本国内ではなくアメリカでオークションに出展されるのは初めて」と語る。
