MEDALS awarded to the Royal Navy officer who \'turned the tide\' on the Falklands War were expected to reach up to £50,000 at auction yesterday (Wednesday, December 5). Captain Brian Young DSO oversaw command of Operation Paraquet - a mission to recapture South Georgia from Argentine forces. The land, sea and air operation paved the way for British forces to retake the principality. Among his items being auctioned in Marlow, Bucks, are a Distinguished Service Order medal, Naval General Service medal, Campaign Service medal and a South Atlantic Falklands medal.
