駐日フランス大使館のウェブサイトで、フランス軍の外人部隊を募集している。選抜試験はフランスで行われ、渡航は自費で、現地滞在の宿泊費と食費は無料だという。
外人部隊は移民の受け入れと統合を推進してきたフランスの長い伝統を軍事分野で担っています。外国人の採用が認められている外人部隊は、さまざまな国籍の隊員から構成される部隊を運用し、まとめ、連帯感を築かなければなりません。規律、使命感、丁寧な仕事、敬意、連帯は外人部隊の骨組みとなる理念です。
