警視庁は8月2日、公職選挙法違反(買収)の疑いで東京都港区の幸福実現党本部を家宅捜索した。

警視庁は8月2日、公職選挙法違反(買収)の疑いで東京都港区の幸福実現党本部を家宅捜索した。7月の参院選で、幸福実現党公認候補の応援演説の見返りに現金の授受があったとして、党の関与がなかったかを調べている。朝日新聞デジタルなどが報じた。

■テレンス・リー容疑者ら3人を逮捕

東京都豊島区で6月下旬、党公認候補のトクマ(本名・椙杜徳馬)氏が街頭演説をした際に、陣営関係者から現金を受け取った疑いがあるとして、警視庁は応援演説をしたタレントのテレンス・リー(本名・加藤善照)容疑者と、応援を頼んだ男性候補の陣営関係者ら2人を7月26日に逮捕していた。

NHKニュースによると、警視庁は捜査を進めた結果、報酬の資金が党から出ていた疑いがあるとして、買収の疑いで党本部などの捜索に踏み切ったという。

幸福実現党は「党本部にまで家宅捜索が及んだことに対し、強い政治的意図を感じる。捜査当局に強く抗議していく」と報道各社にコメントを出した

幸福実現党は、宗教法人「幸福の科学」を支持母体とする政党で、2009年5月に結党された。党首は釈量子氏。 7月の参院選で、幸福実現党は比例代表2人と選挙区45人、計47人の候補者を擁立。憲法改正や日米同盟強化、原発再稼働推進などを公約していた
