アメリカで銃乱射事件相次ぐ テキサス州ヒューストンでは10代の若者2人死亡

パーティはハリス郡の保安官の事務所で行われ、若い男女100人以上が集まっていた。死亡した2人は若い男女だという。

ニューヨーク・タイムズによると、この日のパーティは18歳の女性の誕生日祝いで、参加者のほとんどが現場から1マイル（約1.6キロ）離れたサイプレス・スプリングス・ハイスクールの在校生ならびに卒業生だったという。

ワシントン・ポストによると、銃撃は数分間続き、逃げ惑う参加者たちで混乱状態となった。会場の2階から飛び降りて逃げ出した人もいたという。

警察は発砲した容疑者2人の行方を追っている。

また、同じく9日深夜、ニューヨークのマンハッタンにあるブライアント公園のスケートリンクでも銃乱射事件が発生、2人が負傷した。現場はスケーターたちが避難のため一斉に逃げ出し、パニック状態となった。USA TODAYが伝えた。

ロサンゼルス・タイムズによると、14歳の男の子が腹部を、20歳の男性が足を撃たれた。少なくとも撃たれたうちの一人はスケートをしている最中に狙われたという。警察は、16歳の男を容疑者として拘束した。
