ソチ冬季五輪は１６日、アイスホッケー女子の５─８位決定予備戦を行い、日本はロシアに３─６で敗れた。第１ピリオドに先制された日本は、第２ピリオドでは２─３、第３ピリオドでも１─２とロシアを下回った。
