インドネシア大統領選は９日、ジョコ・ウィドド候補（ジャカルタ特別州知事）を擁立した闘争民主党のメガワティ党首が、同候補の勝利を宣言した。
これに対し、対立候補の元軍高官プラボウォ・スビアント氏陣営の関係者は、プラボウォ氏はまだ勝利に自信を持っていると発言。「（ウィドド候補の勝利を）断言するのは早すぎる。選挙速報はテレビ局によって結果が違っている。公式結果の発表は今月２２日で、まだ結果を楽観している」と述べた。［ジャカルタ ９日 ロイター］
