ラマディを「イスラム国」から奪還 イラク軍が勝利宣言

イラク軍は2015年12月27日、中西部アンバル州の州都ラマディで過激派組織「イスラム国」との戦いに勝利した、と宣言した。

[バグダッド 27日 ロイター] - イラク軍は27日、中西部アンバル州の州都ラマディで過激派組織「イスラム国」との戦いに勝利した、と宣言した。ラマディは、首都バグダッドの西方に位置する要衝で、イスラム国が5月に支配下に置いた。

イラク軍報道官は「政府庁舎を掌握した。われわれはラマディでイスラム国を打ち負かした」と宣言。一方、米軍は、イスラム国戦闘員が政府庁舎から一掃されたのか、現時点では確認できない、としている。

イスラム国は2014年6月、イラクの約3分の1に勢力を拡大、イラクとシリアにまたがる地域で国家樹立を宣言していた。失地回復を目指してきたイラク軍にとって、ラマディの奪還は大きな戦果となる。
