イラクのスダニ人権相は10日、ロイターの取材に対し、同国北部で勢力を拡大するイスラム教スンニ派過激組織「イスラム国」が、クルド系少数派ヤジディ教徒500人以上を殺害したと述べた。 同相によると、一部は生き埋めにされ、そのなかには女性や子供も含まれている。

[バグダッド 10日 ロイター] - イラクのスダニ人権相は10日、ロイターの取材に対し、同国北部で勢力を拡大するイスラム教スンニ派過激組織「イスラム国」が、クルド系少数派ヤジディ教徒500人以上を殺害したと述べた。

同相によると、一部は生き埋めにされ、そのなかには女性や子供も含まれている。また、約300人の女性が奴隷として連れ去られたという。

この問題で初めてメディアの取材に応じたスダニ氏は、電話で「われわれには、シンジャルから逃げ、九死に一生を得たヤジディ教徒から得た特筆すべき証拠がある」と説明。「犯行現場の映像からは、イスラム国家がシンジャルを制圧後、少なくとも500人のヤジディ教徒を殺害したことは紛れもない」としている。

シリアとの国境に接するシンジャルは、ヤジディ教徒が古くから住んでいた場所。イスラム国はヤジディ教徒を「悪魔崇拝」と非難し、イスラム教への改宗を求めている。

オバマ米政権は、イラク北部の都市アルビル近郊でイスラム国を狙った限定的な空爆を行っているが、今回のスダニ人権相の発言により、さらに大規模な支援を求める声が強まる可能性がある。

同相は「われわれが入手した映像の一部には、頭部を銃で撃たれたヤジディ教徒の遺体の列や、歓声をあげながら遺体の上で武器を振り回すイスラム国の兵士の姿が映っている。これは卑劣な残虐行為だ」と語った。
