ソチ冬季五輪の宿泊場所に関してはさまざまな問題が報告されている（日本語版記事）が、ボブスレー米国代表、ジョニー・クイン選手も、日頃のトレーニングで鍛えた力を使う必要に出くわした。
クイン選手（30）は2月8日、選手村のバスルーム内に閉じ込められ、力づくでドアを壊して脱出したのだ。
「シャワーを浴びていたんだけど、ドアがどうしてもあかなかったんだ」
「助けを呼ぶ電話もなかったので、ボブスレーのトレーニングを活用して脱出した。#SochiJailBreak（ソチ脱獄）」
クイン選手は、以前にはアメフト（NFLとCFL）で活躍していた。オリンピックの試合は16日からになる。
