JT、タバコ生産縮小で社員1600人削減

日本たばこ産業（JT）は10月30日、タバコ販売の減少をうけて生産体制を縮小することになった。社員数を削減し、国内工場を閉鎖すると発表した。

日本たばこ産業（JT）は10月30日、タバコ販売の減少をうけて生産体制を縮小することになった。社員数を削減し、国内工場を閉鎖すると発表した。時事ドットコムが報じた。

日本たばこ産業（ＪＴ）は３０日、たばこ販売の減少を受けて生産体制を縮小するため、国内９工場のうち４工場を、２０１６年３月までに閉鎖すると発表した。これに伴い、本社社員の約２割に相当する１６００人規模の希望退職を募集し、収益体制の強化を図る。

同社は、生産体制を縮小するため、9工場のうち、郡山（福島県）、浜松（静岡県）、平塚（静岡）、岡山印刷（岡山県）の4工場を閉鎖する。国内でのタバコの売り上げ減少の影響をうけて、国内の営業所を25カ所から15カ所に集約するという。

2014年4月以降、消費材が8％に引き上げられるの合わせ、タバコ大手3社は、タバコの価格を最大20円程度引き上げる方向で調整を進めていた。

タバコ産業の調査によれば、日本の成人男性の平均喫煙率は32.2%で、この19年間、減少しつづけており、今回のタバコ価格の値上げが、更なる喫煙者減少につながる可能性があると見られていた。
