1990年の革命以来、独立広場は政治集会の中心地だった。しかしながら、11月からキエフを巻き込む暴力と流血は、広場では今までほとんど起こったことのない惨事である。すばらしい歴史的風景は、黒焦げになったバリケードの交戦地帯へと変貌し、テントは燃え、武器があふれている。

この衝撃的な写真には、世界的に有名な広場の暴動の前後が写されている。水曜日の停戦協定はあっけなく破られ、広場の暴動は勢いを増している。以前の輝きを再び取り戻すには、まだ時間がかかるだろう。
