1月27日16時50分、小泉純一郎元首相のTwitterアカウントが復活した。
小泉氏のアカウントを巡っては、Twitter社が本人確認をしたマーク付きで開設されたが事務所側は「やっていない」と関与を否定。すぐに削除された。しかしTwitter側も「認証手続きを経た本人のアカウント」と主張していた。事務所内の連絡の行き違いが原因で、こうした混乱が起こったとみられるが、今回、再びアカウントを復活させたことで、真偽問題に完全に決着がついたことになる。
