YouTubeにアップロードされた動画には、すべての劇場マニアの夢を現実にした光景がとらえられている。「ライオンキング」と「アラジン」のブロードウェイ出演者がニューヨークのラガーディア空港のロビーでアカペラを歌い出したのだ。天候不順で離陸が6時間も遅延する間に、そのアカペラは、退屈な空港ロビーの雰囲気を一変させた。

動画の3分06秒あたりから、「ライオンキング」の出演者が熱唱し始める。そして、画面は「アラジン」の出演者に移る。そこではジーニーを演じるジェームス・イングルハートが、実に印象的なフリースタイルのラップを歌う。対決は続き、6分40秒のところでは、「アラジン」の出演者が素晴らしい「アラビアン・ナイト」を披露する。

このアカペラ対決を目撃した人たちはラッキーだ。その最高のパフォーマンスは、彼らの旅行よりも印象に残ったかもしれない。
