サッカー元アルゼンチン代表で伝説的な選手として知られる、ディエゴ・マラドーナが3月30日、無許可で自分をTVゲーム「ウイニングイレブン」に登場させたとして、ゲーム会社のコナミに法的措置を取る考えを明らかにした。自身のFacebookに以下のように投稿した。
「私は昨日、日本の会社コナミがTVゲーム『PES 2017』で、私の画像を使用していると聞きました。 私の弁護士マティアス・モルラが法的措置を開始します。詐欺行為が他にもないことを祈っています…」
「PES 2017」はコナミのサッカーゲームで、日本では「ウイニングイレブン 2017」の名前で発売されている。BBCがコナミに取材したが、コメントを得られていない。ゲームではフランスのアンリ、スウェーデンのラーション両氏らとともに過去の伝説的な名選手として登場しているという。
