［ソウル １０日 ロイター］ - 韓国ソウルで男に顔を切り付けられ負傷したマーク・リッパート駐韓米大使（４２）が１０日、同市内の病院から退院した。
韓国の警察当局は、殺人未遂などの疑いでキム・ギジョン容疑者（５５）を訴追する方向で捜査を進めている。
リッパート大使は５日朝、ソウル中心部で開かれたイベントに出席した際に顔を切り付けられた。顔に約８０針縫う大けがを負い、ソウル市内の病院に入院していた。
大使は「恐ろしい事件だったが、歩くことも話すこともできる。私の子どもを抱いたり、妻を抱きしめたりもできる。気分はとてもいい」と、早期の現場復帰に意欲を示した。
